The gauze ball is made of gauze which complies with the standard EN 14079 type 20. The non-sterile gauze ball has a woven-in X-Ray thread with barium sulphate. It is used in the operative area to staunch blood and secretion and to clean the operation wound from blood and secretion. The gauze balls are wound and have no rubber ring. Before use, the product must be sterilized in accordance with a validated sterilization method.
